Australian (Colonial & Early Federation)

Australian antique silver is quite collectable, with earlier pieces commanding very high prices.  Early colonial pieces (1820s-1850s) are generally limited to flatware, but a number of prolific makers can be found from the 1860's to 1901 making items such as trophies, cups and serviette rings. Early federation saw the continued production of a number of firms, and numerous pieces can be found from pre-WW1 from Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney.
