Newcastle Sterling Silver Fish Slice, Robertson & Walton, 1811

A simple, yet elegant piece of provincial English sterling silverware. This fish slice was made in Newcastle by John Robertson II and John Walton in 1811. It was a short lived partnership lasting around 9 years (from 1811 to around 1820). This piece has a nice simple cut out to drain, unlike some of the more over-the-top London examples. It good overall condition, although it may be missing the very tip of the blade. It measures just uner 29cm and weighs approximately 105 grams.
