Pair of Shell Bowl Teaspoons, SMITH & FEARN, London, 1793

A cute little pair of teaspoons. They are Old English pattern with some bright-cut decoration. These have the the shell bowls that were popular in the second half of the eighteenth century. These ones were made in London in 1793. They were made by the partnership of George Smith and William Fearn. They have some rubbing to the back of the bowls and the maker's mark is a little hard to read. They measure just over 12.5cm long and weigh a combined 23 grams.
