Set of Four Snake Wine Labels, John Whittingham, London, 1809-1809

An interesting set of sterling bottle labels. I haven't come across this design anywhere before. The border is a snake biting it's own tail. They are made quite thinly, which has led to a pin prick on one of them. Also for some reason, three are hallmarked on the front and one on the back. They are labels for BRANDY, HOLLANDS, RUM and SHRUB. They were made in London by John Whittington in 1809 and 1810. They measure approximately 4.5cm across.
