Stunning Victoria Pattern Sterling Fish Slice, Samuel Hayne & Dudley Cater, London, 1839

A number of patterns for sterling flatware emerged in England during the nineteenth century. The most commonly found are Kings and Queens Patterns. This one is known as Victoria Pattern, and is in the uncommon category. This Fish Slice in the pattern was made by Samuel Hayne & Dudley Cater in London in 1839. It is in great condition...the pierced work in particular is quite delicate. 
It measures 31cm long and weighs a heavy 180 grams.
