Australia's most famous colonial silversmith, Alexander Dick arrived as a free settler in Sydney from Leith on 16 October 1824 in the Portland. Apart from a stint in prison for receiving stolen goods, he worked in the 1820s and 30s. His pieces are very collectable and don't turn up very often.

This is a nice salt spoon. It is initialled CMM and has clear marks for Dick.
