We love this design. Birmingham silversmiths made a number of leaf form caddy spoons. This one was made only by the partnership of Ledsam, Vale and Wheeler and then by Gervase Wheeler afterwards the partnership dissolved. This example was made by him in 1840. It is known as the petal-leaf form and has some lovely engraving to the handle as well. (A similar plainer example is seen in Norie's book on Caddy Spoons - 63f)
Clearly hallmarked and in great condition.
It measures just over 8cm long.
