A well made ladle, this is modelled on the Irish Hook-end soup ladles from the late eighteenth century. This is a smaller one, the size of a sauce ladle and was made by John Aldwinckle & Thomas Slater in London in 1891. It has a crest of a greyhound on it.
In good condition (just a couple of marks to the back of the handle) and clearly hallmarked.
It measures 18cm long and weighs 59grams.
