
Old English bright-cut is one of our favourite patterns, such variety can be found. They were designed to show off in the flickering candle light. This pair have a flower decoration and a nice crest of a griffin emerging from a crown. They are in good overall condition, there are a few dings to the bowls, and the bowls may have been reshapen at some point. These were made by John McFerlan in London in 1785.
Clearly hallmarked, including the rare incuse duty mark used just in 1785.
They measure 17cm long and weigh a combined 62grams.
