Stunning Arts and Crafts lidded pot. Made by the famous partnership of Omar Ramsden and Alwyn Carr. This piece was made towards the end of their partnership in 1916. It is one of their know designs with theatrical masks of comedy and tragedy. It has a cast rose finial.
Typically they would also sign in latin "me fecit" - "made me", but this piece is slightly different with less common "me fecerunt" - "I did".
Clearly hallmarked both lid and base for London 1916.
In good overall condition, the lid is a little wonky.
It measures approximately 9cm cm high and weighs 154 grams.
