Egyptian silversmiths produced a variety of silver in the first half of the twentieth century for both domestic use and the tourist market. This raised dish is decorated with the typically Egyptian decorations of geometric patterns and stylised arabic quotes. The dish is in good condition, apart from marks on the base (as pictured).
Hallmarked for 900 standard and 1946-47.
It measures 20cm in diameter and weighs 190 grams.
