Collection: Condiment Pieces

Salt was an important condiment for many centuries, originally large for the whole table, fashion changed to individual salt cellars in the early eighteenth century. Pepper and mustard were added to the table in the late eighteenth/early nineteenth century and silver pieces were quickly made for them in the form of pepper shakers and mustard pots.
