A rare piece of Bermuda silver. 

George Rankin was one of the last of the Bermudan silversmiths. He was the son of a sea captain and was sent off to England to complete his silversmith apprenticeship. 

Marked with 'GR' for George Rankin and monogrammed 'GSAW'.

The butter knife is 19.5cm long and weighs 56 grams.
