An elegant piece of history, this pie-crust card tray was made by Ebenezer Croker in London in 1770. In the early 1800s it was re-engraved as a gift, with a monogram on the top (JSB ?) and a date inscribed on the base 'Nov 2 1807'. It appears there was a monogram/crest removed to put the new engraving on...it is a bit thin in the middle. Aside from that it is in good overall condition.
Clearly hallmarked.
It measures 18cm in diameter and weighs 263 grams.
