Always nice to have a set of spoons from the mid eighteenth century and this set is scarcer because they were made by a female silversmith. They date to London in 1768 and the maker is probably Judith Callard. The maker's mark is in a lozenge which tells us it is a widow carrying on her husband's business. They are in the Old English pattern and have a nice period monogram and are in good overall condition.
Hallmarked - the hallmarks are rubbed on some.
They measure 22cm long and weigh a combined 388 grams.
