The Americans certainly knew how to do stunning floral designs on their silverware. This large American sterling silver serving spoon is in the 'Lily' pattern. It was first produced by Whiting Manufacturing Co in 1902. This piece dates to between 1902 and 1904 when the retailler A Stowle & Co (also stamped on this piece) closed their business. It is monogrammed with 'C'. It is in great condition.
Clearly stamped for Whiting, sterling and retailler.
It measures 23cm long and weighs 120 grams.
