In 1768, Carden Terry joined the Cork Goldsmiths Company and, in April 1770, advertised his return from London and Dublin to set up as a goldsmith, seeking an apprentice. Carden Terry achieved the Freedom of Cork in 1785 and registered with the Dublin Goldsmiths Company in 1784 while operating from his North Main Street location. He is the most prolific Cork silversmith in the late eighteenth century. These three teaspoons are by him, with a plain Celtic-point design. In good overall condition, there is a small ding to one bowl and a few marks in the bowls. They have a period monogram 'I:C' on the heel of each spoon.

Clearly stamped (although overlapping) 'CT' and 'STERLING'.

They measure just over 16cm long and weigh a combined 65 grams.
