The mid to late Victorians enjoyed a number of revivals in fashion from previous centuries. This spoon is a Victorian take on the apostle spoons. A large, well made piece. It was made by Josiah Williams & Co (George Maudsley Jackson) in Bristol, but assayed in London in 1884.
Clearly hallmarked.
It measures 20cm long and weighs 62grams.
