A nice West Country Trefid silver spoon, this piece was made in Taunton (a large town in Somerset) by Richard Hamlin. It dates to around 1690. It has two sets of initials of previous owners and a faint trace of the original pin-prick initialling can be seen.
Stamped with the maker's mark ""RH"" twice and another mark "Ster" over "ling". Marks are a little rubbed but readable.
The spoon measures approximately 21cm long.
