This lovely little dish is typical of Egyptian silver from the first half of the twentieth century. It has intricate geometric designs and ornate arabic script.
It is clearly hallmarked with the official marks for 900 standard silver made in Cairo. It has the date mark for 1941/2.
It measures 16.5cm in diameter and weighs 130 grams.
