Collection: Costume and Silver Jewellery

Costume or fashion jewellery were originally manufactured as less expensive versions as opposed to "real" (fine) jewellery, which is usually made with gold and precious gemstones. From the outset, costume jewellery — also known as fashion jewellery — paralleled the styles of its more precious fine counterparts. It has become a popular area in its own right. 

Sterling silver jewellery was also often made as a slightly more affordable version, although sometimes the jeweller would choose sterling silver in order to better capture the design or stones in use.
