A nice useful piece of Australian antique silver, this handled basket was made in the 1920s by well know Australian firm Produs. It is in a subtle Art Deco design on bun feet. It is in good condition with some nice clear examples of the temporary Australian Hallmarking System.
Stamped 'PROUDS', 'STG.SILVER', '.925', Blue Wren (with cut corner for Victoria).
It measures 26cm long and weighs 512 grams.
