An antique Anglo-Indian silver scent bottle (attar flask) dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. The piece bears the "RA" stamp, identifying it as a product of the Rathod Arts workshop of Rajasthan, India. They were working from the end of the nineteenth century into the twentieth century.
The flask features a dual-sided figural design housed within a scalloped, multi-lobed border. One face depicts a four-armed figure of the Hindu deity goddess Lakshmi rendered in high relief against a stippled background. The opposite face features the Matsya avatar of Vishnu, depicted as a deity emerging from a fish tail. The bottle is fitted with an original, functional threaded silver screw-top cap.

Stamped RA.

It measures 8.5cm long and weighs 44 grams.
