A lovely pair of Edwardian whist markers. Made of ivorine (not ivory), both are beautifully detailed. (Ivorine is an unusual type of plastic made from formaldehyde and casein protein. It was invented in 1899 and was made as a low-cost replacement for ivory, often used in piano keys).
