A good piece of New Zealand history, this presentation trowel was used to lay the foundation stone for the Congregational Church in Masteron. It was made by local jeweller and silversmith, A Henderson. It is silver with a wooden handle. The trowel was presented to Mrs W R Williams. It is in good condition.
Stamped 'A' 'H' and pseudo hallmarks. This is the only example of his marks we have found.
It measures 24.5cm long.
