An interesting piece of provincial english sterling silver, this milk jug was made in Exeter by Richard Ferris. He was working circa 1790-1810. The jug has some interest bright-cut decoration and a provincial feel to its design. It has a monogram 'SB' which is probably a little later. It is in good overall condition.
Hallmarked.
It measures 11cm tall (not including the handle) and weighs 95 grams.
