These colonial fiddle pattern tablespoons were made by Willem Godfried Lotter (it could be either father or son, probably WGL Jnr in this case). Well made for Cape silver, the marks are well struck but crude. No sign of monogram erasure. The are in great overall condition, although each has a scratched cross above the marks, probably someone testing that they were solid silver.
They measure 21.5cm long and weigh a combined 191 grams.
