An elegent pattern first produced around 1850, this solid silver canteen was made by well known firm Mappin and Webb in Sheffield in 1919. It is made up of 12 knives, 12 forks and 9 spoons (with three 830 standard Danish spoons of the same pattern made in 1926...probably a mix up at a big dinner party!). The English pieces are monogrammed 'D' (and the three Danish ones, 'E'). They are in good used condition, some of the tines on the forks are a bit bent and one of the spoons has a bit of a flat bottom.
(there is a matching set of serving pieces also available)
Spoons and Forks all hallmarked.
Forks (18cm long) - 638 grams
English Spoons (just over 17.5cm long) - 496 grams
