A scarce West Country piece of hollowware. This half-pint mug was made in Plymouth and assayed in Exeter. It has the original initials on the base and three later initials, probably as the cup was passed on in the nineteenth century. In good overall condition, there are a few dings and the handle is very slightly pressed in.

Clearly hallmarked for William Parry of Plymouth. He was apprenticed to John Vaen in 1723 and died in 1756.

It measures 10cm high and weighs 188 grams.
